I graduated in Biology and then obtained a master’s degree in Neuroscience from the University of Trieste. During my master’s internship, I investigated the effects of inflammatory cytokines on hiPSC-derived astrocytes.
Following graduation, I conducted a pre-doctoral fellowship in the Prion Biology Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Legname, where I began exploring the role of inflammation in TDP-43 translocation in hiPSC-derived motor neurons and astrocytes.
Currently, my PhD research focuses on assessing TDP-43 translocation in response to various stimuli to understand the mechanisms underlying its mislocalization and aggregation
